Snagged a quick vid clip of the Lenovo netbook prototypes a couple weeks ago at a "Summer Holiday Sleigh Ride" event in NYC (a consumer electronics holiday preview show).

UPDATE:
IdeaPad S10
10.2 inch screen
2.4lbs
$399 = 512 MB of memory and an 80 GB HDD
$449 = 1 GB of memory and a 160 GB HDD.

Be sure to click on the "watch in high quality" option under the view count... as the standard quality video is garbage. Why does YouTube do that?! You can also link directly to the high quality clip by using this link with the extension "&fmt=18" onthe end of it:

  • Sweet!

Lenovo does their shit right. This is the netbook for me!

  • Netbook:

    smaller (9-10inch screen)

    lighter (<3.5 pounds)

slower (intel atom instead of dual core)

    cheaper ($400-500)

    no optical drive

  • Yeah because it doesn't have a cd drive. But I have GTA vice city on mine and it runs smoothly.

  • strictly not for gaming.

  • its cheaper than most laptops, and it will do most of what other laptops will do.

  • pretty expensive too

  • I agree it's got that business feel to it, and it is small but it won't get mistaken for a toy like an acer aspire one. It's look is great but the performance is great too.

  • my experience.

i have owned 2 eeepc's 1 aspire one. and now the lenovo s10. the video or pics dont do it as much justice as it looks in person. it is a traditional looking laptop and not a fingerprint whore. the design is so professional and sleek it beats everyone else by far its very thin and it sits flat vertical to table not like all the other including the samsung. by far best design when i saw it at circuit city i had to buy it and it will be my last netbook! i found my one!

  • the samsung nc10 is over $75 bucks more. for the same price you can buy a 6 cell for the lenovo.
