how does one learn to play this? :/ incredible. I always thought Steve Morse is simply the only one who can play this piece, so I never actually tried to learn it...

@clicheeurosk8er Actually, Steve fashioned his unique picking technique early on but it has nothing to do with the fact that he's left-hand dominant. You are correct in saying it provides him greater mobility, but it also allows him to mute the strings easily at the same time, giving him greater control over damping the strings, especially at high volumes. Steve astonishingly elected to use his dominant left hand on the fretboard when he first started playing. Amazing...
