I still think 3GB is overkill unless you are doing Eyefinity. 2GB is about the sweet spot, fully capable of running games at max up to 2560x1600.

I like how in Enthusiast territory we call the 7800 series low-end when it's really marketed as a upper mid-range. 7700 the midrange, 7600 and below low-end. 7900 ofc is high-end.
