HTC Sensation vs. Samsung Galaxy S2 video test (Full HD)

Comparison between the video camera of the HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy i9100 S2. Both smartphones record video in 1080p Full HD at 30fps. The specsheets of both devices are mostly similar, but which video is the the best?

I have to wonder what video settings they used on the Galaxy S II as the lack of definition and colours are not what I'm used to and I use Galaxy S II.

Copes allot better with varying lighting conditions though, also every Galaxy S II I’ve used has some autofocus issues with video and I didn’t see any of that here.

@Ebilcake Settings are 'auto' and 'standard' all the way on both devices. Both of them are set to record in Full HD, off course.

Sorry to piss on your chips as the saying goes, but the video your claiming to be the GS2 isn't a GS2, the colour settings and everything is well off from the GS2 handset definitions. I work in the mobile industry and have played with both handsets. I can agree with infowar, you have mixed up the videos..

@LTCCXBL you just say that because your probably not watching on your s2.. cause the screen technology on gs2 is super amoled.. and videos look nicer.. but when transfer to pc.. it will look different.. i own a Sensation XE and a S2

There more light at the Sensation, but at the SGs2 its a bit more black.... but you can just go to settings and.... and make it more light'er.!^^

how can people say this is fake this is real i has the s2 other month and i was abit annoyed and the video quality but now i have the htc and to be very honest it beats the samsung galaxy s2

Sensation produces better man accept it u must be blind not to see it. Sensation has a terrible issue with touchscreen and only 1gb internal memory otherwise its a great phone but these two problems have let down htc and these are major problems specially the screen problem

Here is the reason: the GS2 video has a LOT of extra light coming from sky, not the other. Then the poor guy is trying to make a balance for a proper take. I believe this was intentional, to try to show that the HTC Sensation has something better than the GS2. May it has more thank one thing (screen resolution for example) but this is not the way to present the differences between products.

Galaxy video is better....the HTC puts alot of contrast and makes the video dark,you can see at the end that its even worst

@lnfowar i have looked at some video's on youtube cause i just ordered the samsung galaxy s 2 cause i wanna be sure that i would like it after having an iphone4 which began to pis me off but looking at some camera tests and they look WAY better then the right here the video at the right look more like samsung galaxy s and not s2 not enough details to be galaxy s 2 judged by looking at other videos dark, the definition and deatils looks like what i have seen on the samsung galaxy s1

people will never see what is there they will only see what they want to see i had the gs2 and i used it for a week im a camera guy and lemme tell you its not worth it the htc i just bought and i love the camera but overall the gs2 its faster but poorer battery life so in the end its preference that makes one phone better than the other they both have ups and downs but they both are worth the money so think about it and choose between a well built or a platcis smartphone it is what it is

For those who say they mixed up the videos/phones, go and check other videos of other users, seems pretty obvious that indeed, there was NO mix-up and that HTC sensation really does produce a better video.

The Sensation clearly has better video quality...and also remember that the bitrate can be increased even higher! Also, i'd say the Sensation has better audi quality due to the two mics. The only reason it doesn't sound good is because HTC make it record in lower quality so as to keep the file size down :/

Try lgCamera and set the audio to AAC 320kbps stereo...it'll blow you away!

Yep the Sensation video OWNS the Galaxy S2 in every way shape of form. Sorry haters, but pixels and resolution don't lie. I own both devices and the Sensation OWNS!!
