@Damascus57 I personally think people make too much of British English and American English. In reality it is far more complicated than that and the simplification is not helpful. They are the both English and there are many regional variations. It's best for most foreign studnets to learn an international blend. After all there are more people who know English as a second language than as a first.

You didn't avoid an 'Americanization' in that comment, because 'Americanization' should be spelt with an s and not a z: 'Americanisation'

Can there be opposite of æ. The long æ: (as in mad, bad, for instance)?
