I too have caught my first wave at age 14, in New Smyrna Beach on the Atlantic side during a vacation. It was a great experience. I am going to live in Florida some day, and catch waves every chance I get. I can't stand to live away from the beach.

im 14 i surfed today and it was the first time i stood up on a board and i live in florida i was so happy XD

@TheAllaroundgamer Hey, that's great. I remember the first time I stood up on my board. I was 14, just like you. It was a great feeling. Go surfing as much as you can. You'll look back on these days as the best days of your life. Don't forget to protect your skin from the sun.

Not very often. November thru March coldfronts or when a hurricane is in the Gulf.
