Alaskan 40 Mile Gold is of the fine type. Some call it powder gold, some call it placer gold, flour gold. Some will miss in their pan as they are expecting to find large nuggets. I recover lots of fine gold that is as small as this period . Maybe just a little bigger but not much. If I can see it in the pan I save it. I believe it take 478 grains of gold to make one penny weight? I will find this out for certain so dont quote me.

  • Everyone has their own way of blue bowling or recovery gold. I have no gold lost this way so if it is wrong, oh well. Im sure you may have way that works for you. Thanks for being my critic though.

  • thats a nice hobby ,a nosey question ,how much wood u earn a year in money

  • I'm sorry but you're doing it wrong.

  • Still very new to the fine art of panning. We are looking into blue bowls and dessert foxes. Where can I find some of that gold? That was seriously immpressive!

  • nice pay dirt you got there.

  • I love the set up! great job!

  • Very nice. The gold you have in that one run is equal to everything I've found put together in one year in Colorado lol
