Your claiming that a wart for their natural resources isn't bad, because it's "better than being poor." That's what he's getting at. What sovereignty? Iraq wasn't very "sovereign" if you ask me. You think you can use the age-old tactic of Republicans or "nazis" as you refer to them as being imperialists.
