  • Why was the ladder set up to the second floor window? Seems to me that the second floor was gone. Do a quick search of first floor than hammer the top floor with a master stream.

  • i used to kno the people that live on the second floor thank god nobody got hurt

  • @krichards816 Most of that fire is on the second floor so hand jacking a 21/2 is going to take some time. Now if you have a BlitzFire nozzle on a preconnected line that can give you a lot of mobility and knockdown power. We often use the tactic of dumping our tank using the deck gun or Blitz line, (2 or 2 1/2" crosslays) on fully involved houses or small commercial structures. usually the secone engine in has our water supply established quick, and we are only out of water for a minute or so.

  • @ffjsb

Hmm. Interesting ideas. I think a 2- 2.5 in the front door could have taken care of it. I think deck guns on the exposure for the B and D side. This is an aggresive department. I (personally) do not question the tactics. Good job!

  • @gtrotto911 You can put a deck gun in service faster. By the time you run out of tank water you should be able to knock down the fire enough to buy some time until you get your supply line going, then you can finish off the fire with an interior attack. There's too much fire for the smaller handlines anyway.

  • to me they did a shity job truck should have went in first to set up ladder for water tower operations then the engine they should learn that from experience.

  • My family lived at 49 Summit st., the house to the right of the burning house for over fifty years until 1970. I remember the houses were so close together you could reach out the window and touch the other house.

  • Looks like a nice worker there, keep up the good footage. See what the summers gonna bring.
