@Treetop64 I couldn't agree more. Formula 1 is so watered down these days, it's ridiculous.

The video quality has gone iffy on a couple of tapes, but I've long since backed them all up to DVDs and put them away in storage. My grandkids (when I have some. I'm not even a dad yet) should get a kick out of them when they're old enough to understand what's going on. :)

@Subiromba At times Mansell could comfortably beat both of them, but he lacked consistently which Prost and Senna had, which ultimately is what separates the good from the great.

@55DJL "The ultimate sword vs the perfect shield"? Thumbz up. =)

@Treetop64 Just be careful to keep your VCR tapes intact...or they're gonna wear down pretty easily, hehe. A backup copy is strongly advised =)

Mansell was fast, but he wasn't at the same level of Senna or Prost. No way.

I love the Mansell and Senna battles, it's like an unstoppable force (Mansell) meets an immovable object (Senna). Truly fantastic stuff, makes me wish I was older so I could enjoy these great races.

im 13 and keep coming back to these videos. todays f1 is predicatable.... senna prost mansell anyone of these drivers have more tallent skall and balls than the most highly rated f1 driver today!
-
@jeanclaude780 Legends too, but from completely different era....Senna, Mansell, Piquet and Prost were all from the same era, the cars were very different and so was F1 in general, when it came to media, the popularity of the sport and so on.....Clark, Stewart and Fangio are all legends, but people still people talk about them in different ocation.
Today's F1, with goofy looking wings on the cars and drivers still in diapers, is a joke compared to the heydays of the 80s and 90s.
I try to watch contemporary F1 today but it simply cannot hold my interest. Yet I keep going back to old VCR tapes and YouTube videos to watch the same old classic races over and over again, and keep coming back for more.
I am so grateful that I was able to witness these old races live, as they happened.

Senna = greatest talent ever
Mansell = most aggressive bloody minded ever, daring, yet clean on his over takes
