You're too far back from the catcher. your feet placement is incorrect and your head is nowhere near the slot and you're coming set way too late. yes come set as the pitcher does, but you're coming set as the pitch is delivered plus you're calling the pitch before it ever hiys the glove. pause, read and react.

best ringup. if the batter is righty fling ur arm up to the side like ur crackin a whip and yell "strike" take half a second step over ur right leg and put ur left leg to the right of ur right leg so ur lookin to the right... as soon as ur leg touches down punch with ur left arm straight ahead (which was to ur original right but is now straight because u turned ur body after u stepped) and at the same time pretend like ur elbowing someone in back of u with ur right arm and yell "THREE"

Well, its all good-- yes were all learning- im still a believer that if you dont learn something new every game that you are not doin your job. I can understand your being nervous and i guess to get that type of game for a first year umpire is good to see. anyways nothing personally- and i understand your being nervous. For what its worth this was my first year and yes perhaps it wasn't pretty. But as allways there is some keyboard expert who probably couldn't call a stop light correct making a snide remark. Yes I'm talking about you........

Well, for a first year- I'll cut you a little slack- however, regardless of what you'd like to believe
I'm a good umpire- and I could call a stop light correctly or whatever the hell you were tryin to say- by the way- what kinda of ball was this you're calling? Again Im no pro- but that mechanic is still ugly.

Well we can be cival. It was High school allstars called Super 17 in which there are scouts there for a showcase. And yes I agree it was ugly as I was nervous as hell being in a AAA park in all. I knew I would get some not so loving comments but why does everyone have to be so nasty??? We are allways learning. And yes my mechanic has gotten better.
