Peaches The Crabby Parakeet

This is Peaches, she's my granny's bird. She likes to be rubbed under her wings & sometimes under her beak. She's about 4 years old & has recently discovered she likes to be touched. Well, kind of. :)

Update: November 2009. Peaches passed away unexpectedly. She wasn't sick and was found dead in the bottom of her cage one morning. It's awfully quiet when visiting granny now. We will miss her!

@funnyvideogal Nah, she liked it but was just being crabby that day. She didn't have her wings clipped and when she didn't want to be around you she flew away. Like I said before she didn't have her wings clipped so she had free reign of the house.

Well Peaches doesn't have her wings clipped so if she didn't like it she would fly to another part of the house. I guess that's one way to tell.

You can tell if he doesn't like it cause he will bite u if he does like it he will hold still and put his head down

and i belive that would hurt somewhat to her. cause in that area feathers are constantly replaced. and grown in again. so if she had a pinni there it would hurt very much.

obviously she doesn't like it. I have a parakeet. he ONLY makes that noise when

a. he's destressed.

b. he's scared.

or c. if he is annoyed or upset.

to me when i hear her squaking like that i feel bad for her honestly. cause i think of my boy. and the situatoins he makes that noise.

and you can see, she is ruuning away from you. not leaning into you. there is a difference. and she beak is farily long. you shoudl try giving her something to knaww on so is can be trimmed. :)

when every my budgie made noises like that he was upset by something, i miss by budgie I passed away few years ago was only 8 years old :(
