I started with the sample level that came with the modeling tools and expanded it to be basically the size of my apartment. Then I added walls and cut holes in them to mimic doors. You can apply textures to objects to make them look realistic. For this I used an ancient digital camera to take pictures so the objects would look right. A few objects (Couch, toilet) I imported from the game and simply recolored to match my place. The whole project took longer than it was worth but I learned a lot.

Hey, Max had a nice house but just couldn't live there after the double murder of his wife & child. If you're even remotely content with your life... You leave that man alone. ;)

I never compiled it into an mpm file or uploaded the lvl file. I went nuts with the textures (and the lamp in the bedroom which somehow balooned into 1000s of polygons) so despite being a very small world it's nearly 11 Mb.
