I was dinkering around with Game Genie codes for Super Mario 3 for the NES. I already had a big list of codes, and I decided to change them by one letter or so at a time to produce different results. Eventually I came up with one code: OPPSII.
When I put this bad boy in, I was amazed. The game was screwed up badly. The code immediately glitched level 1-1, and the music repeated itself over and over again. Sometimes as you progress through the level either the game freezes or the screen goes black, so only Mario was visible. Once you get to the end, you will realize that every other sprite, including the card thing that ended the level, so it was impossible to win.
As you wait at the end, by now you should have noticed that the music track actually changes, to the underground theme, underwater theme, and so on.
After this, I decided to take it to World 8. After getting there, I went to the tank level, and it didn't glitch at first, THEN it did. It repeated the music track at a certain spot, and all of the sprites did not disappear, I could still get hit by cannonballs. Again, the screen eventually goes completely black, so don't get crushed!
This music cycles as well, even to the final boss theme. When it reaches the end, the music track crashes and you hear random noises. Beware, however, once you get to the end and find the tunnel to the mini-boss, the game instantly freezes.
I take full credit for this code, even though someone may have come up with it elsewhere. I did not get this code from a list, so sorry if I "steal" anyone else's code.
This video only contains levels 1-1 and 8-tank. Try out the other levels! Be prepared to keep save states, because the game WILL freeze often. Have fun.
Well that is crap, when you find a code that actually does something useful come back and show us this is what we call lame. This is beyond lame.. Somewhere on the net there is a debug code that enables you to listen to and play all the music tracks from the game why would need a buggy crap code..

@alblastris Dude, chill out. I was just experimenting and was having fun with the code. Maybe it's cause I like it when games glitch out.

@kugochris I'm sorry, I did get carried away, was one those days.. I had even forgotten about this till I started using YouTube again. I have lots of crap codes for Zelda 1 that I test sometimes, I keep all my codes even ones that freeze the game cause if it does anything at all even a freeze up can be used to make other codes that do something useful.. If the code does something no matter what you know your in the right neighborhood for making new codes. Best Regards.
