@kingfarouk2 equator*, (where we grow a lot of our food), there is more rainfall. (rainfall occurs when evaporated water(caused from heat) rises, expands, cools, condenses, and falls as rain). Rainfall will disrupt an already fragile system of agriculture, eroding weak, converted forest land and sinking coastal regions. This increase in heat will also disrupt trade winds, throwing off weather systems around the world. Think of that when you drive. Think of that when you support Newt.

Say what you like regarding Newt and his facts regarding an abundance of natural fuel. Here is another fact: Burning fossil fuels, including gasoline, diesel, coal, etc. releases carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into the air. These are PROVEN greenhouse gases; gases that thicken the atmosphere and trap sunlight energy. So what is the issue? @wizardqueen No, not necessarily, but it does require fracking for recovery. What they are vigorously working on now, is ways to frack the shale for natural gas and oil to prevent problems with the environment. Primarily ground water tables. Some areas of ranch land have tested ground waters and found some pollution they believe may have been a result of fracking. This technology is still very young, but as time goes on, we will figure out how to do it safer and cleaner than anyone else.
