i bet you're both tea totallers, nice basic performance, there's no FEELING in your playing, just playing along, reading a script...i think it takes the anger and energy of a drunk to give life to this song... "time's getting rough, i ain't got enough, to buy me a bottle of wine". the "fireballs" had some feeling to this song, 40 years ago, i'm dating myself, but i'm the best date i had lately.

I've been playing or trying to since I retired 4 yrs ago, and have to say Etta's playing and style have been something to aspire to, as well as her demeanor and kindness. The first time I heard her play, I said "that's what I want to do". Maybe someday. Wish I could have sat on her porch and shared a lemonade. Mike
