the headers didnt get that red and i would think it was because of the truck sittin there reving at almost 3000 rpm for 2 minutes

looks like a fawkin sick motor man. but it looks like you got some carb adjustment to be done since those headers are glowing within a few minutes of running.too much fuels goin and and not being used and is getting burt in the exhaustttt.
