It's like you are missing the point guys... the point is that you can have a track in that vacant lot across from your house in suburbia, and practice on sunday morning ... and nobody will care.

I read about the electric dirt bikes. They are more expensive, and the battery only lasts about 30 min - 1 hour.

even if these things did have more power than gas motors. You would only get like 4hrs of riding time. And for the battery to start dieing at the base of a 80ft jump would be disasterous. And this is a (mini) moto track, for pit bikes (110cc). It would not do good on a real track.

Actually the electric motor is more powerful (more torque) than a similar gasoline engine. So the electric would drop those piles of gasoline engines.

Gas engines are peaky, electrics are flat torque throughout its ENTIRE revs.

also, how boring must that engine be to ride?
at least a 4 stroke has kind of power band.
