Architecture and civil engineering is basically the same career. I am an architect, and a friend of mine is a civil engineer, and we do the same basic work, but i focus more on aesthetics and structural integrity, while he focuses more on cost effectiveness and security. In any case, there is an advantage of having an engineering degree with an architectural focus. Mexican civil engineer Agustin hernandez made some of the best architectural works in the country.
mine would be: tori amos bjork cat power regina spektor joanna newsom antony and the johnsons alela diane devendra banhart vetiver [nick drake] :( radiohead i dont know there are many artists that i admire but do not listen to them too often. the ones that i wrote on the list above are the one that i'd love to see them on a music fest for sure!
David Archuleta Tom Milsom Jay Brannan John Mayer Tori Amos Oscar Peterson Michel Petrucciani Franz Liszt Bobby McFerrin Opeth Josh Groban Aretha Franklin Deep Forest Yo-Yo Ma Victor Borge
Hey, an engineering degree is actually a pretty good starting off point (I graduated a few years ago). But, I agree the engineering work is pretty dull at most places. I suggest going into a research place if you can find a job there (try environmental E.) or get another degree like architecture. I ended up doing web development/design which is pretty fun if you like programming/computers.
People seem to think that engineers can think, so you can get a job in a lot of fields with that degree.
