  • Actually I64 also splits there too

  • @Shellyz2u Actually, it doesn't, I-64 splits just a hair further down the interstate, right in town... goes to Beckley and Huntington... Just after the I-77/I-79 split, it is just I-77 for a mile or so.

  • Yes, it's on a hilltop over the city and I-77/I-64... They just completed a major runway extension as well...

  • That has to be a 300 foot drop at the end of the runway...probably scarier to land there than take off.

  • 300 sounds about right.... big drop...

  • Actually a 900 foot drop.

  • @wvhb44beardog : Is it really that much?

  • Landing there will get your heart started, especially on one of those small planes with the briggs and stratton engines. lol

  • It is also over I64...actualy all three split in that area! ;-)

  • Just like hang gliding :)

  • we took live beside it and its like they dont want us to sleep

  • Great vid, have entered the Charleston area so many times at that I-77-79 split coming down from Wheeling but had never seen it from that perspective. Thanks.

  • @mcgervey Correct.
