Yes. Pretty much. I wouldn't have those words but to me it sounds like crap (much worse than what I know from more sophisticated styles of Metal and Nü Metal). People comparing bands like Bring me the Horizon with true artists like those of Braid, American Football, Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, Saetia and others is truly a severe insult and shows they know nothing of what they talk about.

Emo has something to have a pride on, even if hell underground. Metalcore I doubt much.

Metalcore really isn't metal. You can hear every metalcore riff ever stolen straight from one In Flames song or another and then accompanied by breakdowns, literally just repetitions of the same note for almost minutes on end. Then you have your octave lead, melodic chorus and cookie monster vocals, comprehensible, yes, artful? No.

If a person says he/she hates metal why he/she would like metalcore?

To me both are very incomprehensible music genres and it is a severe and incomprehensible insult when people label metalcore in the same group of emocore, my favorite, just to say it is poseur, gay or anything like that, that just shows how ignorant and close-minded one would be and fits the negative stereotypes people have on metalheads.

At least for me it was only fun to dress as scene kid when it was for the lulz in 2007-09.
