Waterspout/Vortex in Central Gulf of Mexico--26th July 2009

Waterspout observed on the afternoon of Sunday, 26 July 2009 at about 1:45pm CDT about 300 miles south of New Orleans aboard the Carnival Fantasy en route to Progreso, Yucatan. I was able to capture it on video from its beginning until its end with the exception of about 90 seconds when I switched camera modes and took several still shots. At the 4:43 mark in the video there is a transition slide (this is when I took the still photos). When the video returns, its a tighter shot focused on the waterspout until it dissipates--to which a thunderous applaud erupts by those on the stern of the ship that caught the show.
