Nice car Mate :) Pretty quick :)
-
nice acceleration! your 200D has the same gear ratio as my 240D! 1st max - 40km/h, 2nd - 60km/h, 3rd at about 103km/h. though i drive 1 or 2 car lengths on 1st gear, up to 40-50km/h on 2nd then 70km/h 3rd. and mine is on 3000 rpm at 100km/h average 7-8L/100km and 8-9 on highway at 120km/h, very comfortable in high speeds! ;)

saves more gas then shifting in 3000rpm and driving on 5gear in town (over 50kmh per hour - 30mph i think it is)
-
that car has the something..
-
4 gear transmission is tougher than 5 gear. Though 5 gear offers better flexibility.
-
very unusual sound for diesel

The top speeds for the gears 1, 2 and 3 are 40, 60 and 100 km/h, but the manual says, you shouldnt use more than 2/3 of those speeds before shifting, for fuel economy... Im sure, everyone in the line behind me grind their teeth, but I myself usually accelerate with gear 4 from 45 km/h upwards :D Howabout you, do you alwayse accelerate as hard as here, to the top speed of each gear?

@jooniinon I usually shift earlier, at 55 km/h I shift to 4th gear. When accelerating to access the highway, I shift to 4th gear at around 80 km/h.
