You should listen to Wardell Gray's rendition of this tune. He's much more soft and also more straightfoward!
By the way we''ll never get anywhere close to the masters, sadly! But keep up the ol' spirit! I haven't touched my saxes for months, Switched back to jazzguitar I have!
