SM6LKM's brilliant little VLF receiver implemented entirely in software and available free via the internet. This allows monitoring of the 0-22kHz VLF bands. The 3 Russian alpha beacons are clearly audible in daylight at around 20-25dB S/N. See https://sites.google.com/site/sm6lkm/saqrx

I tried it and it works very good, it's like having a tunable VLF receiver on your PC and all you need is a audio amplifer with a loop antenna. Problem is the way my computer is set up I cannot get transmissions below 2 kHz, it overloads on the sound card. Thanks for the receiver.
