I ordered the Vintage synth board on e-bay and inside the box, I found the experience board. I haven't tested it yet, but I think I have been fooled. Too bad I didn't notice in time.

I have this board installed in my XP80 i love it.. spesh the strings.. whats not to like? Brass real nice too i use alot in live playing... V nice :0)

@mikorsoudotcom I always go for that as well. Sound is very subjective and preset is, well, self-explanatory, preset! Manipulate sounds is one of the things that makes an instrument more special than it is. Yeah, of course, the instrument should give enough potential for it.

@Penguindog55 You should go beyond presets. Program your own presets with the material of waves they offer. Presets by manufacturers always sound too nice.

I would still choose VST instruments over JV expansion boards. I do like the JV 1080's preset patches and waveforms which was the reason I bought a JV 1080.
