Hwa-gwan mu( flower crown dance) is one of the oldest form of court dances in Korea. It is believed to be originated in Shilla period (57B.C-A.D935).it was performed by court dancers in banquets for royalty and foreign envoys. Elegantly dressed in full court attire. the dancers dance gracefully to slow rhythm. another unique feature is that the dance is performed in rigid line and involves relatively little movement from place to place. for over 2.000years some 50dance forms were developed and nurtured in royal courts of Shilla, Koryo(918-1392) and Chosun(1392-1910) periods.

  • Shouldn't it be romanized as Hwa Gwan Moo?

  • Sorry, I just copy and paste! You could be right though.
