@hamptonmark Bush was just a Junior partner in the continuation of the disintegration of our once wonderful experiment in positive government.

@matreyia I surely support any such justice occurring, but question whether those in power this time will not prefer the complete destruction of all life on the planet to losing their perceived control. Also, with the percentage of sheeple at such an unbelievably unprecedented high, who will be available to bring them down? If the Asian overlords are as ferociously greedy and corrupt as the americans and many of the Europeans, save any evidence of communal awareness, may the force be with you!

Global Oil warming news....
"The European Climate Exchange (ECX) was launched by CCX in 2005, and is now the leading exchange operating in the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. Since 2006, CCX and ECX have been owned by Climate Exchange PLC.
More than 65 leading businesses, including global companies such as ABN AMRO, Barclays, BP, Calyon, E.ON UK, Fortis, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Shell have signed up for membership to trade ECX products."

When will people learn? No matter how much wealth or power one has currently, if such wealth comes from corruption and the suffering of innocents, they and their empire and progeny will come to a bitter end. Every rich mogul or tycoon thinks he/she is the exception and will somehow escape this fate. Just as teenagers think they will live forever and behave recklessly...so too these ignorant rich folk will fall down. From Marie Antoinette to Caligula, every single one will fall.

It's probably true that the war was about denying Saddam the oil, as the sanctions were about to be lifted and who knows what he would have done with that wealth. It is probably also true that we wanted our companies to have the control of it but the embarrassing truth is that we are unable to win the war. By that I mean, we are unable to bring necessary stability to take advantage of it. What will happen is that we will leave, we'll overthrow the next guy and try again. Or take out Iran first.
-
If Iraq was about oil, then why have we left, once, and no leaving again, and have forgotten the oil?
-
It's is absolutely infuriating how politicians and public figures only tell the truth when their careers can't be sabotaged anymore, by retiring. For example, the Rolling Stones interview which Bill Clinton gave to right after he left office expressed his full support for the legalization of marijuana. Yeah Bill, if only you could had done something about it, oh I don't know, maybe even a few month ago, when you were still the president?!
-
Two and two still making four?
The truth counts. Words count. What do we teach our children?
To be accountable for their actions? To tell the truth?
-
the plain truth is that there is no way we will be able to find enough oil to last us another 100 years. Hell, that mount might not even exist on the planet.
Look at the growth rate in usage of oil and calculate the doubling time of that growth rate. You will get something around 40 years. That means we will use up an addition of all the oil we have ever used in history in another 40 years, and thats IF we can find more oil that we have ever found before.
It's simply not going to happen.

Who will profit from us staying indefinitely in Iraq?Follow the money. Who will benefit from not moving away from fossil fuels?Follow the money. Who will benefit by nationalizing Soc Sec? Follow the money. Not fixing health care? No Child Left Behind? Deregulating Industries? Gutting regulatory agencies? Privatizing the military and intelligence gathering? Follow the money. Your friend is right. It explains a lot.
