You should try reading a book called.. Queen ..The Early Years by Mark Hodkinson.

It tells how Queen were at Trident and producer named Robin Cable asked them to do a demo of I Can Hear Music..Freddie Brian and Roger did backing vocals, a year later they released it under the spoof name of Larry Lurex.

DJ's didn't like it as they thought it was a pisstake of Gary Glitter..which it may have been.

So..not a Freddie solo single but Queen under another name.

    Try reading a book.

  • @uncleangler no, that was a solo single by Freddie under the name Larry Lurex.

  • Simply a phenomenal band! The music they created will never be duplicated by anyone! Freddie is the most amazing musician of this century! Love Queen forever!

Queens 1st single was actually I Can Hear Music..released under the name Larry Lurex..it never got played because because DJ's thought it was insult to Gary Glitter ( The Paedophile )
