Nice technical details.

Colleges are now realizing that students are showing preferences in applying to schools that have grand challenge entries.

Perhaps that should cause you to question your views of the military.

some of the rocket technology used to reach the moon was developed in nazi germany, should that cause you to question your views of the nazis? i'm saying our military is similar or anywhere near as bad. it's always a good idea to be weary of something bigger & stronger than you are. yeah our military has done a lot of good, but on the other hand look at how many nuclear devices they've detonated in such places as us states and in the ocean. both places with life that could be adversely effected

I appreciate your comments, and while I agree that engineers who were forced to work for the Nazis did end up coming to the United States after World War 2. I don't have any problem with this; I'm not sure the world would have been better had the Stalinists kidnapped them.

Beyond that, something very little known is that the scientist who had the largest influence on the German rocket engineers was actually American: Robert Goddard.
