Safe? Gah, half the fun is the possibility of being killed!
-
a house is the safest place in a thunderstorm after that is the car the savest
-
silvertk is full of sh-- because the weather channel specials have shown it is the Farrady Cage effect not the tires.
-
that is one mightly blast
-
I suggest you read up on the faraday shield principle.. that is why you are safe in a car.. I can assure you it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the tyres.
-
All to do with the tyres... Its a Metal covering, with rubber (tyres) to earth the strike.. as long as u aint touching metal, the bolt passes from roof, straight to the ground.
-
Nothing to do with the tyres at all.. it all to do with the fact you are inside a metal cage.. If you are caught outside in a storm the safest place is in a car away from any trees. The tyres are wet and water conducts electricity so that is nothing to do with it. NIce storm though :0)
