  • That was very sharp. Must have taken a lot of rehearsal. Good job. That said, wow do we disagree on bunkai. I think the only part that matched my preferred interpretation was the big overhead throw.

  • Thank you very much. It's completely understandable that we dissagree on the bunkai - because this is NOT the IOGKF bunkai! This is completely self-composed, since we were asked to make a performance similar to what could be seen at WKF competitions :-)

  • @ShotokanBleach Ok, preguntare hacerca de lo que mencionas, porque en realidad lo desconozco, tengo cercano a mi un profesor de Karate Do, creo que el me podrá asesorar muy bien, gracias y saludos

  • @ 1:23 the guy on the right tripped

  • I woild like to point out that these three people have worked very very hard on this presentation. There's a lot os sweat equity here and I"m pretty sure some bruses too.

As for the different versions of bunkai, I recal Yoichi Kuda, then a 9th dan teaching about 1985. He vave us two very full days of bunkai based on the first three moves of a Nahanchi kata. I was so embarassed over how little I knew I wanted to hand back my sandan. Can you say "pounding the nail?"

  • @ShotokanBleach

Dont get too impressed. I'm not! Know lots of other people who know more than I and are better than I.

  • @aqx770 Wow a 7th dan? i've never seen a comment from such a high ranking person on youtube, mainly because be that have nanadan's and above do not generally (no offense) know how to use youtube

1st Kyu Shotokan, 1st Kyu Yamani-ryu, Ryukyu Kobudo Hozon Shiko Kai (going for shodan later this year

  • @ilgetz me too, about the shotokan bit, but i've seen better bunkai

  • @JPEWD i like the japanese female team the most int eh terms of bunkai, look @ their performance of Annan

  • Very good perfomance! no offense to this kata team cause they're very good, but it's not the best I've seen yet. In the WKF kata tournaments are a few kata teams that are better than this team. You have to watch the kata teams from Italy or France for example.. they're a bit more sync. and there bunkai is a bit more spectacular than the from this team. again no offense to this very good team! but there are differents between them!
