Dam that's deep, "You do not truly know someone until you fight someone". That applies to everything including challenging things in life or of course fighting someone verbally or physically. Getting to know or truly discovering someone requires a challenge at one point... deep. I love these movies lol.

I always thought that Seraph mirrored the person he was fighting in a way. Ballard in the Enter the Matrix game beat Seraph and yet Neo fought him to a draw. I always took that to mean that Ballard overcame himself while Neo was equal to himself. What this means for the movie is that since Smith was a mirror but reversed of Neo, Neo at the time of the Seraph fight could not defeat Smith. "you do not know someone until you fight them", meant that to fight Seraph you know yourself more.

Keep in mind during this fight, and Seraph's other appearances, that he is the ONLY entity in the entire Matrix that is anywhere near a match for The One.

There was only one blow landed during this entire fight, and it was Neo hitting Seraph open-hand strike to the chest. The bouncers at Club Hel even knew him and he still f'd their couch. Seems like the perfect bodyguard...in the Matrix.
