  • I had the opportunity to learn Suparinpei from his father, Soke Kenji Kusano. Beautiful.

  • Yes, it seems that that kata, like all katas, have it's different variations, even within the same Ryu.

  • This is a great treasure to have! The Kusano-Ha system is very closely guarded. As to Soke's name, he has officially changed it from Masaru to Kenji to honor his father.

  • Kusano-ha version of this Kata is not the Mabuni Shito-ryu version, Shito-ryu version of this Kata is very different. Nice performance
