they definitely look nice. But how they perform is a completely different story.
Hint: in general, the less cushioning a binding has the more responsive it will be. If it has a lot of cushioning, it's a lot easier to absorb your landings.

Do snowboard boots have to align to the high-back of your bindings. Or does your entire boot have to stand flat on the baseplate?

@- Boot should be flat to base plate and lineup nicely to the high back.

would the large custom bindings go well with a burton standard board?

@sociaphobiax - Yes, but you may want a wide board if your boot size warrants you using a large binding.
