he doesnt have to carry on with useless people who compromise his efforts. they should be sacked and prosecuted including Mkapa himself. Tanzanians r waging war against corruption by publicly naming corrupt people. You are addressing the real issue SIkonge. There is a culture of USINIGUSE in the ruling party. He was supposed to come in with his own team that he could have moulded into a progressive team to help him achieve his leadership objectives. But he kept most of lousy coakroaches from Mkapa's corrupt govt. That sucks and they r making him less effective than what he would have been without them. Being inactive in that makes me believe he isnt as clean as Tanzanians believe him to be.

Phimwa, its not true. By Tz. Constitutions, he is so powerful that he can do anything in that country. He can be a Putin of Tz and no body will say NO. Then why carry on and allow people to be corrupt? Mkapa was OK, but when Nyerere died, he turned to dark side. He did a lot but at the end he destroyed everythng.
