Kennet Upstream Nymph fishing. David Norwich has an encounter with a big Brown Trout.

This video was shot by myself on the River Kennet. All the shots of me fishing where filmed by me. The fishing and casting took place on a very changeable day weatherwise. Sun one minute, heavy rain the next. The crackling noise you hear on the soundtrack was the rain hitting the plastic bag over the camera to keep it dry.
Editing it down was fun. I take my hat off to big time movie directors/fil editors. I was pooped after editing this one down from all the footage into a 5 minute video. The fish had the nymph presented to it for over 15 minutes without spooking it, before I got it to take my fly. Then I blew it by holding on too hard. It really was a case of holding on.... as the fish was lying in a very small clear area surrounded by weed beds. There was no other option as you will see in the film but tp hold on....
