Hey guys.

Whilst trying to think of a way of gaining a 30 second or so Intro Video to my reviews so I could upload my Devestator review, I decided to go and look at some music that I knew for sure could not get me in trouble. As it is mine :D.

So, I have been in about 3 bands in my life and the last one was a local band called Red Phoenix.
Realizing that none of the music was suitable I tried to move on but I could not. I kept listening to the songs over and over again.
Maybe it was just nostalgia but I decided to share one of my personal favourties with you guys. F.E.P.

This is a song I wrote for the band. I intended it to be a sort of ballad with different famous riffs cutting in and out of the song (As noted by the line "Lynard Skynard, Where's Your Freebird") but alas in typical Red Phoenix fashion, I wrote the bloody lyrics and we played the first tune we could find to fit for it, lol.

I play Bass and backing vocals. It is not the greatest song by far. We where a local band that prefere the fun and the craic over talented music, But see what you think all the same.

I'll get that Devy review up soon ;)

  • who came up with the sweet cover? and i love the random "Hendrix" tone at 1:05

  • I am not too sure, I think it was the guitarist. And there are so many different influences in most of our songs I have forgotten what is where, lol

  • pretty good man, singer is funny to listen to, his mono-tone emotionless voice lol

  • The singer was originally the drummer. I have the original version of this sung by our original singer (The guitarist) and it was just as bad, lol

  • classic

  • Thanks :D

  • I just figured you totally knew your style XD

    (in b4 /fa/)

  • Indeed. I love that instrument. Taking a back seat whilst I try and learn a bit of guitar though.

  • Thanks man. I appreciate it :D

  • Thanks man.

And I am not a great Bassist but I think I done well in this song. At the recording I actually kept better time than the drummer, lol
