Dylan, age 3, loves Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein".
While this isn't his best performance, it's still a riot that he has loved this song since he was an infant. In fact, we had to take him to PNC to see Edgar do it LIVE when he was just 1 year old. He makes us play this song over & over again in the car. He also makes my husband show him Edgar's videos on youtube. It's also hysterical when I hear him singing under his breath "C'mon & take a free ride, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah..." while he's playing in his room or wherever. (another Edgar classic:)
He's beyond his years this kid!
oh and it's not just Edgar, it's Iron Maiden too! (amongst others) He said he wants to come to that concert with us to meet Eddie...LOL!
He's just a little Rocker thru & thru!

Such a sweet kid :-)
I wish my little one (he's only 17 mo) will turn out to be as musically inclined and enthusiastic!!
He likes it when I play the guitar and strokes the strings, so I'm thinking of getting him his own guitar so he can practice, lol

Edgar Winter - Frankenstein 1974.
Dylan - Performance 2008.
Just 34 years apart?
I herd Winter when I was a teenager in the mid 70s. This kid at just 3 years old enjoys him.
What kind of music will Dylan be able to
create in his future teens? Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I forgot about this youngster. I will save this video to remind me of his brilliance. Yes. He does have a gift. Get him a keyboard. You may have that already, I can not remember now, but I remember this youngster. A keyboard will make him a better drummer, if that's what he ultimately wants to peruse. Regardless, a keyboard will give incite into all other musical instruments. What happens is, to learn to do two different things, meaning left hand and right hand, plus pitch, opens the mind.

Cute kid. I'd love to see him play some Led Zep.:) Best thing to do is have him listen to older music. This will help train his ear to understand correct "pitch". Newer music often lacks correct pitch, meaning, they just plain flat out don't sing in key. Keep his ears away from it. Also, he needs a melody instrument. My mom started me on a little flute made for children, but a keyboard would be best. That way, he will understand music using two hands doing two different things at the same time.

Thanks! :) Led Zep is my fave band of all time & so naturally he loves them too :) His 1st baby onesies were Led Zep, The Who & The Beatles:) HE prefers older music. He's now 4 & can challenge many adults to Classic Rock Trivia. He recognizes bands from their sound. It blows us away!

chopped me off...grr...so here's the rest:
He loves The Beatles, Edgar Winter, Led Zep, King Crimson, Rush, Yes, etc. When he was 3 he would tell us when Rush was on & when my husband asked him how he knew that (songs he's never heard by them before), his answer was "I can tell by the drums". Incredible ears & knack for music appreciation this kid. Just took him to Woodstock 40 yr festival yesterday & he was a saint! Loves Music! Oh, one last thing, he has a keyboard too:)
