You fought a brave and valiant battle, in a way that most people are not equiped to fight such a disease: proudly. Forget American soldiers in Iraq, forget the change-bellowing policticians abroad, forget so many ambiguous forms of celebrity: it was you who was the hero, who fought with the most heart and vigor, you who met death fearlessly, with respect for yourself in the forefront.
