The Greek parliament is expected to comfortably approve the country's budget for 2011.
The budget aims to reduce the annual deficit by five billion euros ($6.8 billion).
It also envisages raising funds by selling off state assets.
The mid range of sales tax is due to rise from 11-13 percent.
Small businesses which are under severe pressure from the austerity programme complain they are getting little help to survive.
