My wife and I went to see Tricky at the Showbox in Seattle several years ago. We were both excited because we got to know each other over this record, Massive Attack, etc. We walked into the venue, and there's Tricky just hanging out there at merch table with the t-shirt girls. When I recognized him, he was chatty and funny and more approachable than I'd ever have imagined.The show was stellar, but what I remember most was what a friendly approachable fellow he was. Class act, big time.

@Batman8657 I think he meant in general, not just trip-hop. However, compared to Portishead and Massive Attack, I'd say Tricky is much less talked about.
