Nearly forgot! the white LED on top is also impressive and the duality of the lamp gives you a great product at a reasonable price. In short no patrol vehicle or member of law enforcement should be without one.

I find the second setting great for leaving on the belt for high visibility and then either bright or flashing when traffic direction, etc is required.

The Blue/Red version has constant and alternating function with a clear contrast between both colours.

I have tested the red, the blue and the red/blue combo and cannot find fault. The batteries may be an issue for some but rechargeable AA's are always an option. In the field the grip and large button switches work well with or without gloves.

On the Red and Blue versions there is three settings: Bright, Dimmed (still very bright) and flashing.
