No you are wrong they are LEGAL in the United States, you have to fill out a few forums and go through some checking but you can get them.

actually i shoot us service rifle matches at camp smith in NY as well as West point. That rifle was built for fun, for popping clay targets at 50y. Thats about the third time i was shooting with it. I'm 6'4" and have a rough time with a collapsing stock....probly also the reason i sold all my ak' collection. But catch me with an m14 or garand and i'll pop your head at 200 300 or 500.

i was the little ones you stick in your ears. I have a nice set of headphones but they are not made for shooting assault rifles since they get pushed up and you get to hear the whole bang
