ABC News interview with Texas medical marijuana pain patient Tim Timmons and Texas Compassion Care Coalition President Steve Betzen. Timmons has suffered from secondary progressive multiple sclerosis for 23 years and is housebound and bedfast. and needs full-time nursing care.

But the politics of Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry would put him behind prison bars with rapists and felons - all at a cost to Texas taxpayers of $250,000 to $500,000 annually. This is his new-age version of fiscal conservatism.

how ignorant can we be? I come from a very strict conservative family but to just shoot down this plethora information because of how stubborn we have become towards our own political parties is ridiculous. Our parties are so far separated and stuck up that we can hardly accomplish anything. We need a new generation of government who actually listens to the damn people. A government actually by the people for the people. We need to legalize industrial hemp, and marijuana.

Marijuana alleviates more ailments than any other known plant on earth and WE are still putting sick people in jail with hard core criminals WTF!!!!!!!! WE as a people need to start standing up for what's right. I hope someday the laws start working for the people and justice can be restored. The law to me is nothing more than a revenue engine. You can't O.D. on pot, I've tried JK. With alcohol you can kill your self in one setting. How is this right??!!!!
