  • this guy is my biggest inspiration

  • I'm very sure that Lyoto has opened people's eyes in the MMA world not just for Karate, but traditional martial arts in general. Traditional martial arts can be highly effective in MMA, but some people don't look deep enough into certain styles to see their true potential. For example, we know Anderson Silva is a BJJ black belt & Muay Thai expert, but he's also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do & is well trained in Capoeira.

  • Reshad Evans didn't like this video.

  • traditional martial arts and family member trainers ftw :D Lyoto Machida is an awesome martial artist

  • at 1:32 is that a fart?

  • i thought they were standing on concrete...

  • 4:38 karate is my life...beautiful

  • favourite fighter!!

  • Lyoto machida is one of the greatest UFC fighters i dont care he lost to shogun or rampage is the best to me and his karate is the best ( also gsp's as wel)

  • I like how he trains to fight. He practices full mma fighting with his partner as if they were in the cage. its not just BJJ or Karate but also fighting against the cage and level changes all other things. he trains by doing.

  • machida will be around for along time becuase of his background and you can see that he's just that type of fighter. like manny pacquio he's like all philippines, they just get tougher and i think thats what will happen with lyoto he will just get wiser and tougher and go on and on! i know he's from brazil!
