UConn's basketball programs have a storied history of excellence at one of the nation's top public universities. This success didn't happen by accident; it happened because of Hall-of-Fame coaching and leadership, dedicated student-athletes, and a home arena—Gampel Pavilion—that is among the best college basketball environments nationally. UConn is now building a state-of-the-art basketball development center that will help recruit the best student-athletes and support them in their academic and athletic development.
