Slow Speed Lister Diesel Engine under load at 460 1/min Einzylinderdieselmotor

Lister CS Clone from Topland, India, at 460 1/min under small load for the first test. The engine drives a 400 V 50 Hz 3 kW three-phase asynchronous generator. The generator is a 4-pole type, running 1520 1/min.
The Lister is filled up with 5 1/2 liters of water for cooling, actually the cooling system was not ready. No external exhaust stack was mounted.

Ja, dieser spezielle Lister (Topland) läuft auch mit Pflanzenöl.

Der Importeur ist Herr Wichern, Querenhorst, Preis war 1000 Euro netto frei Hamburg Hafen.

biodiesel, woodgas (Synfuel), methane/natural gas will all run these handy little motors. Unfotunately they are illegal to import into the USA I understand something about emissions? The muffler is fixable just run it into your biodiesel algae tank and let it buble the co2 thru your biodiesel source.........

this diesel engine is a type with precombustion chamber. The manufacturer says for Diesel oil only. But lots of people use vegetable oil from rape. Start and stop with Diesel and the warm engine runs with vegetable oil. You can save a lot of CO2.

Import is illegal into the USA? It´s a shame. What about free global trade?

We in Germany can buy those engines from India. If you built CHP on a commercial way, you could have problems with emissions, perhaps.

I sold the engine a few months ago to a person who will drive a circular saw with it.

With the two flywheels this is also a good application.

@dm8mm They only recently became illegal, last 10-15 years, I remember one used to power a water pump when I was a kid. I found you video when looking thru wood gas (syn) fueled setups. I guess the precombustion on your would make alternate fueling a problem........
