http://www.bestbuymobile.com The Best Buy Mobile team points out differences in the Motorola Droid and Eris Droid models. The Droid is superior to the Eris in battery life, screen size and keyboard type, among many other features.

Hi Im Dave and work at the Best Buy in Union Square, Manhattan and today Im gonna explain to you the difference between two new Android phones available on Verizon Wireless- the Motorola Droid, which I have right here, and the HTC Droid Eris. The most noticeable difference with the Motorola Droid is the large physical keyboard thats underneath the screen. This is gonna allow you to text, email and browse the web much quicker than a touch screen keyboard. The Droid also has a 5MB video camera with autofocus, with a flash to make your camera experience really robust. Also included in the Droid is a 16GB Micro SD card which will basically mean youll never have to buy extra storage for this phone ever, unless you take a lot of videos or put a ton of music on here. Also its a much larger screen than the Droid Eris. The Droid Eris still has a nice size screen but the Droid has actually a 3.7 inch screen which is larger than the iPhone. The Droid also comes with Android 2.0. Now that just mind sound a little too techy for you but what that really means is that it has Google Maps with Navigation, Googles first ever turn by turn base service. So those are some of the difference between the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Eris on Verizon Wireless.

  • The Droid 2 is NOT backwards compadible with older bluetooth systems. This includes the Parrot kits for cars! It says it is paired but will not connect with the car. Yet the Blackberry is just fine. Motorolla has a problem with this device and connections to older bluetooth systems. Stay away and do NOT buy this product!

  • So basically this wasnt a comparison so much as a promo for the motrola droid. thanks for telling us what we all know already.
