FANTINE'S DEATH

Tony Award winning Filipina actress LEA SALONGA as Fantine performing with Alfie Boe as Jean Valjean in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserables on October 3, 2010 at the O2 Arena in London.

After her succesful stint as Kim in Miss Saigon, Lea became the 1st Asian ever to portray Eponine and later Fantine in the Broadway production of Les Mis...

This is Lea's second chance to perform as part of a 'dream cast' as she was Eponine in the 10th anniversary concert of the same musical.

Truly a Dream performer... :D

  • my only problem with this: they shortened the bit at 0:36...

    apart from that, perfect.

  • @cookiemonster201141 Three. Kim, Eponine, & Fantine all died. But she lived in Cinderella. One out of four ain't bad.

  • i feel sorry for lea she has played two characters that have died...why won't she live for once please

  • I cried at the end of this song, where Eponine dies, and where both Fantine and Eponine come in at the end when ValJean dies. I absolutely cannot get through Les Miserables without crying at least once. I love it.

  • I have not seen this musical i wish i could but how did she die i couldnt understand when i was watching the 25th anniversary

  • One of the reason's I love Alfie Boe's Valjean, besides having an amazing voice (I would call it god sent if I was religious!), is his ability to exude pure kindness - his eyes are just beautiful in that respect.

  • @unrequiteddreams91 I just noticed that. Oh my Gosh. More tears now! She's so perfect for this role. She puts so much emotion into everything.

  • @TheCubanJew She DID cry. You can see a tear rolling down at the end.

  • She is magic....

  • She puts all her emotion into it. It sounded that she was about to cry at one point. That's where all my sobbing started. This is so amazing.
